Classification of training activities and correspondence in CFU
Starting from the XXXVIII cycle, the proposal includes an offer of doctoral courses that cover the research areas of the teaching staff; in the first and second year of the course, doctoral students, in agreement with the supervisor, will have to choose from the proposed courses those most suitable to their training and research path.
In addition to these courses, there are seminar cycles as well as courses in national and international specialist schools (8 CFU in each of the three years of the course).
Other teaching activities (seminars, laboratory and research activities, interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary training).
The credits relating to institutional courses are specified in the annual Study Manifesto and are valid in the year in which the course is attended. Credits for participation in seminars, workshops and schools are generally awarded as follows:
- Seminars for PhD students: 6 hours = 1 CFU
- National schools and conferences: 1 day = 0.5 CFU
- International schools and conferences: 1 day = 1 CFU
- Seminars held by the PhD student: 1 seminar = 1 CFU
- Course borrowed from a Master's Degree: 6 hours = 1 CFU
- Course borrowed from a First Level Master's Degree: 8 hours = 1 CFU
- Course borrowed from a Second Level Master's Degree: 6 hours = 1 CFU
- Online course: 6 hours = 1 CFU
- Tutoring, integrative teaching and third mission: 12 hours = 1 CFU
The official language is Italian, however the courses will be held in English in the presence of foreign students.
